Essential Questions
During the research period of this project, I decided to conduct interviews with several people of different ages, including, parents, children, classmates, teachers and office workers to gather their respective opinions. The feedback I gathered from my interviews has allowed me to review the data objectively and come to a conclusion on whether gaming or reading is better for children.
Here are my essential questions:
• Should parents increase the time allotted for their children to play video games?
• In general, is reading better for children than gaming?
• Is reading always good for children?
• Can gaming can also be educational?
• How do video game addicts compare to bookworms when it comes to grades?
• How can we promote responsible gaming among children?
• Are children responsible enough to read without being prompted by their parents to do so?
• Can children be trusted to choose video games for themselves?
• Can children be trusted to choose their own reading material?
• Does reading or gaming have a more positive effect in the long term?
